Here at Second Chance Science, we have made it our mission to provide schools and communities with a safe and free avenue for laboratory supplies. We are committed to rescuing scientific equipment destined for landfills and dumps and instead placing it in the hands of learning minds. We are here to give Science a Second Chance.
Our Services
1. Rescue and Reclaim
We start by contacting schools, labs, and institutions to identify surplus or outdated science equipment that would otherwise be thrown away. Our team coordinates pickups and donations, ensuring that no valuable tools of discovery are lost to the landfill.
2. Clean and Restore
Next, we inspect, clean, and repair the equipment to make sure it’s safe, functional, and ready for the classroom. Whether it’s wiping down a microscope or replacing a missing part, we breathe new life into each item so it’s ready to inspire the next generation.
3. Match & Deliver
Once restored, we match the equipment to schools and educational programs that need it most. We work directly with teachers and administrators to get the right tools into the right hands, completely free of charge.
4. Educate & Grow
We don’t stop at delivery. We teach schools how to care for, reuse, and share the equipment within their community. When schools outgrow their supplies, we encourage them to pass them on continuing the cycle of sustainability and access to science.
